About
At the Responsible AI Collective, we take a socio-technical approach to AI. That’s why we use the term collective: responsible AI is never the work of a single discipline or actor. It is co-produced through the expertise of developers, domain specialists, end-users, regulators, ethicists, and communities impacted by AI systems. We believe that responsibility is not universal; it is context-dependent and plural. What counts as “responsible” varies across sectors, organisations, and publics. That’s why our work is collaborative: we support organisations in articulating and operationalising what responsible AI means for them, while staying attuned to broader societal imperatives like justice, transparency, and inclusion. Our mission is to help organisations build AI practices and cultures that are reflexive, inclusive, and accountable. We work across sectors to embed responsible AI not as a compliance exercise, but as an ongoing process of ethical engagement, rooted in social realities as much as in technical rigour.
